Arrest Made In Last Year’s Business Burglaries Case

Last year’s string of business burglaries, where an 18-wheeler was driven through locked gates to gain access to restricted properties garnered a good bit of press.

Parker County Today says investigators with the Parker County Sheriff’s Office believe that Clark Edward Redmon is responsible for them.

Redmon is accused of driving a truck through a gate in the 8600 block of the I-20 Service Road, (that alone caused about $1500 in damage to the gate), a truck parked in the lot was also damaged.

Redmon was also suspected of buying a truck (but not ever actually paying for it) that was driven through the gate of the business and burglarizing the office on the property.

He now faces charges of Criminal Mischief, several counts of Burglary of a Building, two charges of Theft of Property, Possession of Marijuana and a Texas Department of Criminal Justice Detainer. He is listed as homeless, since investigators believe that he was living in the sleeping quarters of the truck he was suspected of using in the burglary crime spree he’s charged with.

Among the gate-crashing incidents attributed to Redmon were the Crash ‘n Grab heist at David’s Stove Shop, Bealle’s Stone, A to Z Grocery and Southwest Trucking.

Deputies with the Parker County Sheriff’s Office arrested him yesterday. His girlfriend, Maria Shone, 30, was arrested earlier.
