Head of Hood County Juvenile Probation Enter Plea Agreement in DWI Case

As part of a plea bargain on a DWI charge, Beth Pate, head of Hood County Juvenile Probation, will herself be on probation for 18 months. For at least half of that time, she will have an ignition interlock in her car. Pate – whose Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) was well over twice the legal limit when was arrested last November according to the county attorney – will also attend a DWI class and take a Victim Impact Panel course. The Hood County News says the hearing Wednesday (Aug. 20) was not held in a courtroom, but in judge’s chambers with a visiting judge presiding.
