Weatherford man charged with arson in a house fire

A Weatherford man has been charged with arson in a house fire in July that damaged a home and killed three puppies.

Weatherford firefighters were able to confine the July 23 fire to the living room of a rented house in the 300 block of Live Oak Lane, where a 34-year-old woman was living.

32-year-old Edward Bucklewho was reportedly living with the woman, is accused of intentionally starting the fire.

Witnesses say they saw a man running from the home while flames were seen inside the living room window…and the suspect laughed and waved at the witnesses.

One woman said she left the house to get away from the man because he was dangerous when he was off his medication.

The Weatherford Democrat says Buckle was found hiding behind a car in the 200 block of Live Oak Lane watching investigators.
