A Possum Kingdom Lake man was arrested this week in Mineral Wells after leading Palo Pinto County law enforcement on a high-speed chase.
The Mineral Wells Index says 51-year-old Donald Patrick Blair passed Chief Deputy Craig Goen, driving an unmarked department vehicle, at a high rate of speed on U.S. Highway 254 traveling eastbound. Blair reportedly declined to obey Goen’s attempts to stop him. Blair also refused to stop when two marked deputy patrol units tried to stop him, forcing some vehicles off the roadway.
Blair reportedly turned south onto U.S. 281, with speeds reaching 100 mph. Entering Mineral Wells, local police units, along with traffic and the stop light at N.E. 23rd Street, helped bring the chase to an end.
Blair was taken into custody without incident, and there were no wrecks or injuries related to the chase.
