Mineral Wells is hoping to keep its country club open.
Holiday Hills Country Club has found itself in some financial rough recently, dealing with what some have described as a substantial monetary shortfall that sources said threatened at one point to shutter the club until the problems could be ironed out. Club officials are reportedly continuing to conduct audits to try and determine the cause of the problems and how to correct them.
According to the Mineral Wells Index, the club owed vendors and government entities, including the federal government, collectively tens of thousands of dollars.
The Holiday Hills Men’s Golfers Association reportedly provided funds from its account to help the club keep the doors open and golf carts motoring. General Manager Earon Gatlin was released in early October under a reported mutual separation agreement. Current GM Bob Manskey had no comment.
