Granbury’s economic development group is about to be put out to pasture.
A meeting of the Lake Granbury Economic Development Corporation will take place today to plan the organization’s dissolution. Since Hood County recently pulled out of the partnership, the city of Granbury says it is forced to do the same.
According to the Hood County News, the city and county each contributed $100,000 per year to the EDC. County officials have indicated that the county and the city have different goals regarding economic development.
