A Weatherford man was rushed to a hospital over the weekend to be treated for a stab wound after two people reportedly forced their way into his home.
Officers with the Weatherford Police Department responded to a report of a fight in progress in the 600 block of West Lake Drive at about 2 o’clock in the morning. While they were driving to the scene the officers were notified that it had escalated into a stabbing.
Officers determined that 44-year-old Stephen Edwards had been stabbed in the chest with a knife by 25-year-old Jacob Penny, after he and 47-year-old Korena Penny had entered the residence without consent of the homeowner.
According to Parker County Today, the victim was transported via LifeCare to Harris Methodist Hospital where he was treated and released.
Jacob Penny was arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Burglary of Habitation with the Intent to Commit a Felony.
Korena Penny was arrested for Burglary of a Habitation with the Intent to commit a Felony.
