Man falls to his death off Aledo bridge

A man died last night after he lost control of his vehicle, spun out on Interstate 20 at Aledo Road, and fell to his death after exiting his car.

The incident happened at 8:26 p.m. when Fort Worth police were working several accidents on the westbound side of the freeway, said officer Daniel Segura, a police spokesman.

According to the Star-Telegram, when the man’s vehicle came to a stop on the side of the road he got out, lost his footing, fell over the bridge and plunged 60 feet to his death on the railroad tracks below.

He was declared dead at the scene.

His identity will be released after the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office notifies his family.
