A Parker County grand jury has indicted two men accused of robbing three local residents during a violent home invasion last month.
According to the Weatherford Democrat, 49-year-old David Brian Coursey, and 45-year-old Robert Bruce Cypert were indicted on a charge of robbery.
Coursey, Cypert and another man entered a home in the 400 block of Birchwood Street shortly before Feb. 5, robbed the occupants at gunpoint and beat a man.
The suspects repeatedly punched, kicked and pistol-whipped a 54-year-old resident, according to a probable cause affidavit.
Another occupant told responding deputies that he was ordered at gunpoint to sit on his bed and not intervene in the assault, according to the sheriff’s office.
The residents’ cell phones, a television and other items were also taken, the sheriff’s office reported.
The 54-year-old man was later transported to the hospital for his injuries, including a cut that required multiple stitches.
One of the victims was able to identify two of the men in photo line-ups, according to the sheriff’s office.
Both men remained in the Parker County Jail Tuesday with bail set at $50,000 for each.
