Authorities in Azle are investigating after a sheriff’s deputy shot and killed a man who was said to have attacked three people in a home. The incident happened just before midnight.
After a 911 call, a Tarrant County deputy arrived to find two adults stabbed in the front yard of a residence, saying that the suspect was still armed and inside.
When the deputy went into the home, the suspect was holding a third injured person at knifepoint.
Officials say the suspect did not follow the deputy’s orders to drop the weapon. That’s when the deputy fired one shot, striking and killing the suspect.
None of the individuals’ names have been released.
The victims — two women and one man — were taken to Fort Worth hospitals. One of them was in critical condition.
