Former Aledo ISD superintendent Don Daniel was laid to rest yesterday in a service at the Aledo High School auditorium.
Daniel and his grandson, Hunter Corzine, were killed in an auto accident last Wednesday on Interstate 20 near Aledo. Daniel was a Brewer High School graduate, who played college baseball at Ranger College and Texas Wesleyan University. His long career in education ended began in White Settlement, then 25 years in Crowley, then as the head of the Aledo ISD from 1999 to 2011. He was married to his wife Carolyn for 45 years. He leaves behind two daughters and four grandchildren.
Memorials are directed to the Don R. Daniel Educational Endowment or to the Hunter Corzine Memorial Scholarship Fund at First Financial Bank.
