A Parker County grand jury has indicted a Weatherford man accused of beating another man who intervened in a fight.
According to the Weatherford Democrat, Jacob Alan Young, 25, faces a charge of aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury.
Believing his marijuana had been stolen, Young got into a fight with another man at a residence in the 500 block of Threatt Lane on April 11, according to the Parker County Sheriff’s Office.
When a 58-year-old man attempted to intervene and force Young outside the house, Young repeatedly punched him, breaking his jaw, according to a probable cause affidavit.
The man had to be transferred to a Fort Worth hospital due to the severity of his injuries, which required surgery, according to the sheriff’s office.
Young, who has been repeatedly arrested since he was initially charged, was arrested Thursday on an insufficient bond warrant and remained in the Parker County jail as of Monday.
