Teenager indicted on manslaughter charges

A Mineral Wells teenager has been indicted on a manslaughter charge in connection with the death of another teen this summer.

The Mineral Wells Index says 17-year-old Andrew Reyes was indicted by a Palo Pinto County Grand Jury on a second-degree felony manslaughter charge, punishable by a two to 20-year prison term.

Police say a group of people were gathered at a local home in July, and Reyes was handling a weapon when it went off, striking and killing 18-year-old Mineral Wells High School student Brandan Sanmiguel.

The gun was reported stolen out of Oklahoma City.
