The state has reversed course on a local man accused of murdering his infant son.
The Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles has rescinded their prior decision granting John Paul Webb parole—announcing Friday that they have denied his parole. Webb was convicted of murdering his infant son, Christian, in their Weatherford home in 2010.
After the board made their original decision to grant parole, the community and the family of the victim’s mother sent about 50 letters to the board asking them to reconsider. Webb will be up for parole again in October of next year.
